Opening an Xbox Series X is a bit tricky, and it's not recommended unless absolutely necessary. You'll void the warranty! If you still want to proceed, you’ll need a T8 Torx security screwdriver to unscrew the back panel. Be careful and gentle to avoid damaging any components.

Hot take: Don’t do it. Just send it to Microsoft if you have any issues.

Get yourself a T8 Torx security screwdriver, remove the back screws, and gently pry the panel open. Just remember, you might void your warranty doing this.

Speaking from experience, you need a T8 Torx security screwdriver and a lot of patience. It's not for the faint-hearted, and remember, doing this voids your warranty. So proceed with extreme caution!

First, make sure your Xbox is unplugged. Then use a T8 Torx screwdriver to carefully remove the screws on the back panel. Gently pry it open. But seriously, proceed with caution!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
