If you want a permanent windowed mode, you can right-click the game in your library, go to Properties, and add '-windowed' in the launch options.

You can also press Alt + Enter while in-game to switch between windowed and fullscreen modes. Super convenient!

Honestly, just play in fullscreen for the best experience. Windowed mode is sooo overrated.
