To open the Freedom Trail Ring in Fallout 4, you're gonna wanna follow the red line starting from Boston Common. It'll lead you to the Old North Church. Inside the basement, you'll find a metal dial that spins and a button in the center. The trick here is to spell out 'RAILROAD' by turning the dial. Each letter corresponds to the number you'd use on a telephone dial (so, for R, you turn it to 2, A to 1, and so on). After inputting the correct sequence, press the button and voilà, the secret entrance to the Railroad HQ opens up!
