Opening gates in Hogwarts Legacy usually requires you to cast specific spells. For most gates, Alohomora, the unlocking spell, is your go-to. Make sure you've unlocked this spell by progressing through the storyline. If Alohomora isn't working, check for nearby puzzles or magical objects that may need interacting with, sometimes using spells like Lumos or Revelio to reveal hidden mechanisms.

Just use Alohomora, dude. If that doesn't work, you're probably at the wrong gate or need to level up your spell.

A lot of times, gates won't budge until you've completed certain quests. Found that out the hard way after banging my head against a puzzle for hours. Keep advancing the story and side quests. Patience is key here!

If you're a Hogwarts Legacy player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:
