First, go into your router settings by typing its IP address into your web browser. Find and enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play). Restart your router and Xbox One—voila, open NAT!

Another method is to set your Xbox One to a static IP and put it in the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) within your router settings. This can often resolve NAT type issues.

You can also try port forwarding. Navigate to your router settings and forward the following ports: 88 (UDP), 3074 (UDP and TCP), 53 (UDP and TCP), 80 (TCP), 500 (UDP), 3544 (UDP), and 4500 (UDP). This should help open your NAT.

Stop overthinking it! Just enable UPnP on your router and restart both the router and your Xbox One. Works like a charm.

As someone who's wrestled with NAT issues, I found that setting up a static IP for the Xbox and then enabling UPnP on the router did the trick for me. No more NAT headaches!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
