VitriolingMouth·8 months agoHonestly, just close any unnecessary programs before you start playing. Valorant isn’t super demanding, but why take the risk of having your computer try to do a million things at once?

First things first, make sure your drivers are up to date, especially your graphics driver. Valorant is more GPU-intensive, but that doesn't mean you should neglect your CPU. Close background apps to free up resources. Overclocking your CPU can boost performance, but be careful not to overheat your system. Lastly, adjust Valorant’s in-game settings to prioritize performance. Lowering graphics settings can significantly reduce CPU load.
Tweaking in-game settings is key. Drop those shadows, effects, and textures down. You won't notice the difference when you're in the heat of the game, but your CPU will thank you.
Upgrading your hardware might be the move if you're serious about optimizing. I swapped out my old CPU for a newer model last year, and it's like playing a whole new game. Smooth as butter!
