First off, you wanna start by taking your car apart. This will usually mean removing the bottom part, which is often held by tiny screws or might need a bit of prying. Be careful though! After that, strip the original paint with some paint stripper for diecast metals or rubbing alcohol. Give it a good wash and let it dry completely. Then, apply a primer to make sure your new paint sticks well. Once that's dry, you can go to town with model paint – acrylic works great. Use a fine brush or airbrush if you're feeling fancy. Seal it all with a clear coat to protect your masterpiece. Bam! Custom Hot Wheels!

I painted mine with nail polish once and it actually looked pretty cool. It's all about being creative with what you have. Plus, the tiny brushes on nail polish bottles are perfect for detailed work on Hot Wheels cars.
