How to Pair PlayStation Headset
First, make sure your headset is charged. For wireless headsets, plug the USB dongle into your PlayStation and turn on the headset. It should connect automatically! If it's a wired headset, just plug it into the controller's headphone jack.

From my experience, after charging your headset, plug the USB dongle into the PS console, turn on the headset, and in the settings menu, go to 'Devices' and then 'Audio Devices' to ensure your headset is selected for both input and output.
Just plug it in. Seriously, most of the time, it's that easy.
