How to Pair a PS4 Controller Without USB

Turn on your PS4 and make sure your controller is charged. Then hold the PS button and Share button simultaneously until the light bar flashes. Your PS4 should pick it up wirelessly in the Bluetooth Devices menu.
Power on your PS4, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth Devices. Hold the PS and Share button on your controller until it starts flashing. It'll show up in the devices list.
I've done this a bunch of times. Power up the PS4, go to Bluetooth Devices, then hold the PS and Share buttons on the controller till it flashes. Select it from the list. Voila!
Honestly, just use a USB cable for a few seconds to pair it, then remove the cable. Easier and faster!
