Seriously, just close the app. Insta will still be there waiting for you when you're done chilling.
From personal experience, the best way to pause Instagram is to switch off notifications! It's like magic; suddenly, you're not glued to your screen.
You can't pause Instagram, but you can 'Pause All' notifications for a set time in the settings. Use screen time wisely!
