As someone who’s clocked hundreds of hours, just search crates. When you see the rucksack, press 'E' on PC or 'X' on Xbox to pick it up. Simple as that!

You just need to search a container, and when you find a rucksack, hit the prompt button to pick it up. Then, carry it back to your base for sweet, sweet resources!

To pick up a rucksack in State of Decay 2, just walk up to a supply container, open it, and if there’s a rucksack inside, press the interact button (usually 'E' on PC or 'X' on Xbox). Easy peasy, zombie squeezy!
