You can try to pickoff runners by holding the L2 (PlayStation) or LT (Xbox) button to aim your throw, and then pressing the base button (e.g., Circle for 1st base). It's all about catching them off guard!

To pickoff in MLB The Show, press L2 (PS) or LT (Xbox) to choose your base, then quickly press the corresponding button for the base you want to throw to. Timing is key!

Press L2 (LT on Xbox) and the base button simultaneously to attempt a pickoff. Remember: practice makes perfect!

If you're a MLB The Show Companion App player looking for extra credit or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in MLB The Show Companion App essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
