Just stack the elevator pieces one on top of the other. Done!
I've placed a 4 story elevator before. You just need to find the elevator in the 'Stairs' section of Build Mode, then place and stack it on each floor. Make sure you have enough room!
Open Build Mode, then go to 'Stairs' and select the elevator. Stack it up from the bottom floor to the top. Easy peasy!
