Placing a door in Terraria is pretty easy once you get the hang of it! First up, you gotta make sure you've got a door in your inventory. If you don't have one, you can craft it at a Work Bench using 6 Wood. Now, find a spot where you want your door. You'll need a 3-block tall and 1-block wide opening in a wall. Stand in front of this opening, select the door from your inventory, and then click on the lower part of the opening. Bam! Door installed. Remember, doors need solid blocks on either side to be placed.

Most important: your doorway needs to be exactly 3 blocks high, no more, no less. Also, can't have background objects like torches where the door should go. I learned that the hard way.

Just smack it into a 3-block high opening. If it doesn't fit, you're doing it wrong.
