How to Plant Food in Fallout 4
TabulatingMadam路7 months agolol just drop those plants in the dirt and make sure someone's looking after them ?. But seriously, workshop mode is your friend. Check 'Resources' then 'Food' and plop them down.

Planting food in Fallout 4 is pretty simple! You just need to find some open land in your settlement. Once you've got that, go into the workshop mode by pressing and holding the 'Change View' button or 'Touchpad' on PS4, 'Select' on Xbox, or 'Tab' on PC. Then, navigate to the 'Resources' section, and choose 'Food'. From there, select whichever type of food you've got in your inventory (like mutfruit or tatos) and place it on the ground. Boom, you're a farmer now! Just make sure you've got settlers assigned to harvesting them, or those plants aren't going to farm themselves.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think focusing on building and managing settlements, including farming, is the best part of Fallout 4. There's something deeply satisfying about creating a thriving community from the ashes of the apocalypse. Just remember to actually assign settlers to the crops, or they won't grow.
