Here's the deal: Apex Legends is a squad-based game, meaning you play in teams of three. If you're hoping to team up with just one friend, you guys can still play together, but you'll need to enter the match as a duo and get matched with a random third player to fill out your squad. Just invite your friend to your party through the Xbox interface, then jump into the game together. Remember, teamwork makes the dream work!

Actually tried this with my friend the other day. You'll team up and a random player will complete your squad. Was hoping for a duo option, but it was still a blast!

Nah, you can't just play 2-player only. Apex is all about trios or being part of a trio. So if it's just you and your buddy, you'll get a random third. That's just how it rolls.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
