First, make sure you have a second controller connected to your PS3. Start Minecraft and either create a new world or load an existing one. Once you're in the game, simply press the Start button on the second controller to join as Player 2. Enjoy mining and crafting together!

You don't need splitscreen for two players, just hook up another controller and press Start in-game. Done.
