Just got my butt kicked last night with my buddy. Main menu > Smash > choose players and sync controllers. Easy game, hard life.
Easy peasy! Just go to the main menu, select 'Smash,' then choose the number of players and set up the controllers for both players. You're all set to brawl!
Just use one Joy-Con each and follow the prompts in 'Smash' mode. Simple as that.
Pro tip: Make sure both Joy-Cons are properly synced to the Switch. Then go to 'Smash' mode, add players, and smash away!
