Put traps near loot bins or inside buildings where fights are likely. When the gas is triggered, push aggressively since the enemy will be disoriented and taking damage. Also, use his ultimate as a game-changer in late circles or to flush enemies out of cover.
Honestly, Caustic isn't that great unless you're really tactical. You need to think about trap placement a lot, and in fast-paced fights, it's hard to make the most of his abilities. Other legends might serve you better if you're not into a more strategic approach to fights.
