Switch doesn't support split-screen in Fortnite, but you can still squad up with friends online. Just not locally.

Unfortunately, Fortnite split-screen mode isn't available on the Nintendo Switch. You can only use it on Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Sorry to break it to you, but no split-screen on Switch. Epic Games hasn't enabled it for that platform yet.
