Hot take: Just play on whatever server you're assigned to. The hassle to switch isn't worth it unless you've got serious ping issues or you're trying to team up with friends in Asia.
Been there, done that! Had to switch to the Asia server 'cause all my gaming buddies are there. Created a new Riot account and set my region to Asia during sign-up. It worked like a charm, and now we squad up with no issues. Make sure your internet can handle it though; ping can be a real party pooper.
