You can actually play Mortal Kombat 9 on Xbox One through backward compatibility! Just pop in your old Xbox 360 disc, and you’re good to go.

I managed to run it on my Xbox One by using Xbox 360 game disc and it worked no problem. Highly recommend trying this method!

MK9 isn't backward compatible on Xbox One. You'll need an Xbox 360 to play it. Bummer, I know.

Sorry, but Mortal Kombat 9 isn’t available for backward compatibility on Xbox One. You may need to stick with an Xbox 360.
