You can't play online with Sonic Mania Plus on PS4; local multiplayer only folks!
To play multiplayer on Sonic Mania Plus on PS4, just grab a second controller and head to the "No Save" or "Mania Mode". Then select Competition or Co-op mode to get into the action with a buddy!
As a long-time Sonic fan, I can assure you that getting into multiplayer is a blast! Make sure you have both controllers connected and dive into "Competition" mode. You'll be racing through Green Hill Zone in no time!
