First, insert a USB drive with your music files into your PS3. Then, go to the XMB (Cross Media Bar) and navigate to Music. Start playing your desired track and press the PS button to return to the game. Voilà, your soundtrack is now live!

To play music on your PS3 while gaming, you can use the in-game XMB. Just press the PS button, go to the Music section, and start your tunes. Some games might mute the game's own background music, but that's a win if your playlist rocks!

I used to plug my iPod into the PS3's USB port, go to Music, and play the songs from there. You can control your music without pausing your game. It was like having my own personal game soundtrack!

Honestly, not all PS3 games support custom soundtracks. You might be out of luck if your game doesn't allow it.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
