The straightforward answer? You can't. Nintendo Switch games are designed to run on Nintendo's hardware, not on the Steam Deck. While there are emulators out there, they're in a legal gray area and can be complicated to set up for the uninitiated.

Actually, you can't directly play Nintendo Switch games on a Steam Deck because they're from two different ecosystems. But, there's a workaround if you're really craving to get your Switch fix on your Deck. You can use emulation software like Yuzu or Ryujinx, which are designed to run Nintendo Switch games on a PC. Keep in mind, though, you'll need to own the games you emulate and downloading games you don't own is illegal. Also, the performance might not always be perfect, so temper those expectations!

Heads up, tried Yuzu emulator to play some of my Nintendo Switch favorites on the Steam Deck and it was pretty decent! Make sure to grab your game files legally and expect some tinkering to get things smooth. It's not perfect but definitely a fun project if you're tech-savvy.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
