If you're on Windows, right-click the desktop, select Display Settings, then Advanced Display Settings, and set the refresh rate to 144Hz. Don't forget to disable V-Sync in your games.

Just switch your monitor's refresh rate to 144Hz and turn off V-Sync in your game's settings. Works like a charm!

Gaming without G-Sync? Simply set your monitor to 144Hz in your display settings, and turn off V-Sync in your game settings. Easy peasy!

From personal experience, make sure you've got the right cable (HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort) for 144Hz. Then set that refresh rate in your OS settings and disable V-Sync.
