Just plug in the controller, start the game, and it should work. If not, check Steam's controller settings. Sometimes it's just about making sure Steam recognizes your controller.

Playing Plants vs Zombies with an Xbox controller on Steam is a breeze! First, make sure your Xbox controller is properly connected to your PC. Then, launch Steam and go to 'View' > 'Big Picture Mode' which makes Steam more controller-friendly. From there, navigate to Plants vs Zombies in your library, hit play, and you should be good to go! The game inherently supports controller input, so you won't need to remap anything unless you want to customize your controls.

Honestly, why bother? I tried it and wasn't a fan. The keyboard gives you way better control for planting those peashooters exactly where you want 'em.

If you're a Plants vs Zombies player looking for extra money or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Plants vs Zombies essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
