Honestly, just find a friend who knows how to play and learn from them. It's way easier to get the hang of it that way, plus it's more fun!

Too complicated. Just collect the cards, they're cooler that way.

Just remember, Pokemon battles are all about strategy. Basic Pokemon start things off but they can evolve into more powerful versions as the game progresses. Use Energy cards to power your Pokemon's attacks and Trainer cards to give you special advantages or disrupt your opponent. Knock out your opponent's Pokemon to claim one of your Prize cards. First player to claim all their Prize cards wins!

Super simple to get started with Pokemon TCG! First, each player needs a deck of 60 Pokemon cards. These can be a mix of Pokemon, Trainer, and Energy cards. Begin by shuffling your deck and drawing an initial hand of 7 cards. Look for a Basic Pokemon to place in the active position; if you don't have one, reshuffle and draw again, letting your opponent draw an extra card as penalty. Set aside 6 cards face down as your Prize cards. You're all set for battle now!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
