You can't directly connect a PS4 to a laptop with just an HDMI cable because both devices have HDMI-out ports. Use a capture card and streaming software instead. You'll need to connect the PS4 to the capture card via HDMI, and then the capture card to your laptop via USB.

HDMI alone won鈥檛 cut it. You need a capture card or use Remote Play. Capture card: plug the PS4 to the card鈥攃ard to laptop. Remote Play: download, install, and connect!

Bro, just don鈥檛 try it with HDMI alone. Capture card all the way or go for Remote Play.

Use Remote Play! It lets you play PS4 games on your laptop without any fancy gadgets. Just download the Remote Play app from Sony's website, connect your PS4 controller to the laptop, and follow the setup instructions.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
