Hot take: You can't play Spotify on multiple devices simultaneously unless you have separate accounts. It's kinda annoying, but that's the rule.
As a workaround, create a 'Family' account and add up to six people. That way, everyone can listen simultaneously without issues. Worked wonders for my household!
