Honestly, you can't natively play Steam games on Xbox Series S. Your best bet is game streaming.

I use the Xbox app to stream my Steam library from my PC to my Xbox. Works like a charm, but make sure your network is solid!

You can stream Steam games to your Xbox Series S using the Xbox app on Windows 10/11 and the Remote Play feature. It's a bit of a workaround, but it gets the job done!
