Actually, it's simple: you mostly can't. Steam games are tied to Steam for a reason. DRM keeps things tight. Find games that are DRM-free and you might have a shot.

Been there, done that! Some indie games or older titles on Steam don't have strict DRM. Just locate the .exe file in your Steam installation directory, and fire it up. Worked for me with a couple of games, but no luck with major titles.

You wanna dodge Steam while playing Steam games? Tough luck, my friend. The majority of Steam games need the client to run because of DRM (Digital Rights Management). But hey, not all is lost! Some games can run without the Steam client if they don't enforce DRM. Just find the game's executable file in the Steam folder and try running it directly. But remember, multiplayer and some features might not work.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
