If you're playing on a PC with emulation software, you can map motion controls to a traditional controller or keyboard using the software's options. No sensor bar needed!

Who needs a sensor bar? Just get the Nintendo Switch version with updated controls and forget about it entirely! Problem solved.

For Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii, try using two lit candles or a pair of infrared sources where you'd usually put the sensor bar. The Wiimote picks up infrared light, so anything with small infrared sources can mimic the sensor bar. Might look weird, but hey, it works!
