Short answer? You really can't. Vanguard, Valorant's anti-cheat, is the biggest roadblock for Linux users. Save yourself the headache.

Playing Valorant on Linux can be quite the puzzle since it's officially a Windows-only game. But where there's a will, there's a way, right? You'll need to use Wine or a similar compatibility layer, but here's the kicker: Valorant's anti-cheat system, Vanguard, doesn't play nice with it. So honestly, even if you manage to get it running, the experience might not be what you're hoping for. Some folks have tried virtual machines with a Windows installation, but that's a whole other level of commitment and might still hit anti-cheat roadblocks.

Actually, tried running it through a VM with GPU passthrough. It's not perfect and takes some tech savvy to set up, but it sorta works if you're desperate to play Valorant on Linux. The game ran, but don't expect seamless play or to escape the watchful eye of Vanguard.

If you're a Valorant player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Valorant gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
