I managed to play War Thunder on my Chromebook by using the Linux (Beta) option. It was a bit finicky, but totally worth it for those realistic tank battles!

Try installing Linux on your Chromebook through Chrome OS's Linux (Beta). Once set up, download War Thunder and play from there.
