On Tetris Friends, you can invite your friend by going to the 'Arena' or 'Battle 2P' mode, and sending them a friend request from there!

Just invite them to a room in the multiplayer mode. It's pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it.

Tetris Friends? You can't play there anymore since it shut down. Try Puyo Puyo Tetris or another online version instead.
