Just shuffle up and deal as if you're your own opponent. You'd be surprised how much you can learn about strategy when you're both the attacker and the defender. Plus, it's a chill way to enjoy your Pokemon cards without the pressure of a real match.

Playing Pokemon cards solo might seem a bit out there, but hear me out - it's totally doable and pretty fun too! Start by setting up two decks, pretending to be two players. This lets you practice your strategies and get familiar with different deck setups. You can also play a 'solitaire' version where you attempt to go through your deck as efficiently as possible, setting challenges for yourself such as how quickly you can get certain Pokemon to evolve or how effectively you can use your Trainer cards.

Honestly, just collect 'em. Playing by yourself is more about learning the cards and appreciating the art anyway.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
