To play Xbox on your laptop, plug the HDMI cable into the Xbox and the other end into your laptop's HDMI input port. If your laptop only has an HDMI output, it won’t work, so you might need a capture card.

You can't directly connect an Xbox to a laptop via HDMI since most laptops have HDMI output only.

Use an HDMI input port on your laptop (not very common) to connect the Xbox directly. Or, use a capture card. I've done it both ways and found that using a capture card with software like OBS provides a smoother experience.

Check if your laptop has HDMI input. Most laptops don’t. If it doesn't, get a capture card.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
