Tried that, but Steam's a stubborn one and kept popping up. Ended up removing it from my startup programs through the Task Manager. Go to the 'Startup' tab, find Steam, and click 'Disable.' Worked like a charm!

Honestly, just let it run. It updates your games and keeps everything ready. A little startup time is worth it.

Easy fix! Just open Steam and click on 'Steam' in the upper left corner, then go to 'Settings.' Under the 'Interface' tab, you'll find a checkbox that says 'Run Steam when my computer starts.' Just uncheck that box, hit 'OK,' and you're all set. Steam will mind its own business and wait for you to open it manually.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
