First, make sure your PS3 remote and TV are compatible. Next, go to Settings on your PS3, then Remote Control Settings, and select Register BD Remote Control. Follow the on-screen instructions, and voila! Your PS3 remote should now control your TV.

Just buy a universal remote! It saves all that hassle.

I had to do this last week. Just go to Settings > Remote Control Settings > Register BD Remote Control. Follow the prompts and you're good to go. Super simple!

Using the PS3 remote to control the TV is a feature Sony included to make life easier. Start by turning on the TV and PS3. Navigate to Settings on the PS3 main menu, go to Remote Control Settings, and then click on Register BD Remote Control. Just follow the on-screen instructions, and you鈥檙e all set!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
