How to Promote a Leader in State of Decay
Start by raising a survivor's standing to Hero status by completing missions and tasks. Then, open your Community tab, select the survivor, and hit the 'Promote to Leader' option. Easy peasy!

Get a survivor to Hero status by completing actions that earn Influence, then head to your community screen to promote them!
Just make sure your survivor is a Hero, then promote them through the base menu. Trust me, you'll know it when you see it!
To promote a leader, you gotta max out a survivor's standing by doing quests, killing zombies, and scavenging. Once they're a hero, go to your base menu and choose them as the leader!
