How to purchase PlayStation Plus on a sub account
It’s a bit tricky, but you’ll need the master account to buy PlayStation Plus. Then, go to Family Management settings and set the primary PS4 or PS5 to share benefits with the sub account.

You can't directly purchase PlayStation Plus on a sub account. Instead, the master account must buy it and then share the subscription with the sub account via Family Management settings.
I dealt with this before. Have the main account buy PS Plus, then share the subscription through Family settings on the console. Works like a charm!
Just get the master account holder to buy PS Plus, and then share the subscription with the sub account. Easy peasy!
