All you gotta do is press the big ol' Guide button to turn it on, then hit the connect button near the bumper button till it starts blinking. Press the sync button on your console too and voilà, they're paired!

To put an Xbox 360 controller in pairing mode, just press and hold the Guide button (with the Xbox logo) to turn it on. Then, press and hold the connect button on the controller (located near the LB button) until the Guide button starts flashing. Do the same on your Xbox 360 console - find the connect button next to the memory card slots or USB ports and press it. They should sync up in no time!
