How to Put Minecraft on Steam Deck
SortyingSlag·7 months agoGetting Minecraft to run on your Steam Deck is easier than you might think! First, you'll need to access the desktop mode on your Steam Deck. Then, download the Minecraft Launcher for Linux from the Minecraft website. You can install it directly on your Steam Deck. Finally, switch back to Gaming Mode, add the Minecraft Launcher as a non-Steam game in your Steam Library, and voilà, Minecraft is ready to play on your Steam Deck.

Simple answer: desktop mode -> download Linux Minecraft Launcher -> install -> add to Steam as a non-Steam game -> play Minecraft on Steam Deck! It's a bit of a workaround, but it totally works.
Don't bother trying to get Minecraft on Steam Deck, just play it on a PC or console. Less hassle, more fun.
Actually, I tried putting Minecraft on my Steam Deck following a similar method mentioned here, and it works brilliantly! Accessing desktop mode, downloading the Linux launcher, and adding it as a non-Steam game was the way to go. The gameplay is smooth, and having Minecraft on the go is fantastic.
