You might need to jailbreak your PS3 to run games from an external drive. Google for guides, but be careful, as it can void warranties and risk your console's health.

I did this by using multiman after jailbreaking my PS3. I copied my games onto a FAT32 formatted external hard drive and loaded them up from there. Just know there's some risk involved with jailbreaking.

You can't directly play PS3 games from an external hard drive, but you can back them up. Format your external HDD to FAT32, then go to Game Data Utility, find the game you want to back up, hit triangle, and select 'Copy'.

It's not officially supported by Sony to play PS3 games directly from an external hard drive. You can back up save data and game installs, though.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
