I had the same issue. Try pressing Alt+Enter while the game is running. That'll switch it to fullscreen for ya!

In the game's main menu, head to Options, then go to Video Settings. There, you can set the Display Mode to Fullscreen.

Super simple! Just go to Settings > Display Settings, and select Full Screen. Boom, you're in full screen mode!
