Honestly, you'll get the hang of it soon enough. I was clueless with my first Japanese Pokemon card, but now I can pretty much guess what everything means without needing to translate it. Practice makes perfect!
Reading a Japanese Pokemon card isn't as tough as it sounds! First, check out the top right corner for the card's rarity symbol. Then, the card name is right there at the top. HP (Hit Points) is to the right of the name, pretty easy to spot. Look for the large number in the middle for the Pokemon's level. The attack cost is shown by the energy symbols near the bottom, and the attack damage is to the right. For abilities and special attacks, those texts are below the artwork. And don't forget, Google Translate's photo feature is a game-changer for text you can't puzzle out!
