The Ancient Mew card, a classic from the Pokemon Movie promo, is more a collector's item than a playable card due to its unique 'ancient' script. To 'read' it, you basically need a translation key, which is available online. Fans have created guides that translate the ancient-looking runes into the standard Pokemon TCG format. So, a quick online search for 'Ancient Mew translation' should help you decipher its moves and stats.

Honestly, just Google it. There are tons of resources out there where fans have done all the hard work of translating it for you. Plus, it's not legal in official play anyway, so it's more about the cool factor.

Back in my day, we tried to translate it using the little booklet it came with...which I promptly lost. Had to wait years to find out what it said online. Now, you kids are lucky - a quick search and you're all set. It's basically like reading ancient hieroglyphs, but for Pokemon.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
