Reading Pokemon cards is pretty straightforward! Each card will show the Pokemon's name at the top, then below that you've got the HP (Hit Points) indicating how much damage it can take before being knocked out. The type of Pokemon is shown with a symbol near the name or HP. You'll see the attacks listed in the middle section, which tell you how much damage they do, and sometimes they require a certain type or amount of Energy cards to use. Near the bottom, there's often a description of special abilities or rules for that Pokemon. And don't forget the rarity symbol and the card number at the bottom right, super useful for collectors!

Pro tip: Besides the obvious attack damage and HP, always check the Energy cost for attacks. Some powerful moves require a lot of Energy, making them slow to start. And special abilities can turn the tide of a battle, so don't overlook those!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
