To read the periodic table for protons, just look at the atomic number—that's the number of protons in the nucleus! Neutrons? Subtract the atomic number from the atomic mass (rounded to the nearest whole number). Electrons match the protons in a neutral atom.

Protons are equal to the atomic number, neutrons are determined by subtracting the atomic number from the atomic mass, and electrons match the proton count in neutral atoms. Happy element hunting!

Protons = atomic number. Neutrons = atomic mass minus atomic number. Electrons = number of protons (unless it's an ion).

Just remember: the atomic number gives you protons and electrons (in neutrals), and neutrons you get by subtracting atomic number from atomic mass. Easy peasy!

It’s simple: protons = atomic number, neutrons = atomic mass - atomic number, and electrons = protons (if positive, lose some electrons; if negative, gain some). Voilà!
